Building Together

Build The House
Build The House

Now the word of the Lord came to Solomon, “Concerning this house that you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and obey my rules and keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father. And I will dwell among the children of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.”

So Solomon built the house and finished it.

Our New Facility
Our New Facility

Our new facility houses a sanctuary space for church services that will double as a regulation-sized basketball court for community rental. We have a children’s wing for church use that will serve a before and aftercare program during the week. We also have a youth room for our teens that can be rented by community members for meetings and functions. We believe that there will be many ways for Summit to enjoy its new home and serve the Gorham community.

Building Together

Summit Community Church has known from the beginning - when SouthCoast Community Church and South Gorham Baptist Church merged in 2018 - that we wanted to be the kind of church that was open way more often than Sunday mornings. The kind of church that was outreach-focused with the kind of building that is open and inviting to the community.

Through partnerships with Moody’s Collision Center, Great Falls Construction, and Norway Savings Bank, Summit has secured land and begun the process of making this foundational vision a reality.

We continue to be astounded by the ways that God has opened doors for this project to continue despite a worldwide pandemic, soaring construction costs, and endless hurdles. We can’t believe we get to do this and we’re so glad you’re here with us as we follow God’s leading into this next phase of Summit.

Pave The Way - Brick Fundraiser

Brick purchases will help us with so many things: furniture, fixtures, kitchen equipment, etc. Each brick is available for purchase at $100. If you want to, you can include a message on each brick you buy. For example, you can dedicate it to someone, share a brief message, or part of your favorite verse.

Our goal is to sell 300 bricks to be used in a future prayer garden at the new location. We invite you to be a part of the future of Summit. This is indeed a great undertaking, and one that we pray honors God.
