Build The House

Build The House

Now the word of the Lord came to Solomon, “Concerning this house that you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and obey my rules and keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father. And I will dwell among the children of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.” So Solomon built the house and finished it.

More Than a Building—A Vision in Motion

More Than a Building—A Vision in Motion

Our facility was designed to be more than a place to meet on Sundays — it’s a home for ministry and a resource for our community throughout the week.

  • Our sanctuary is where we gather to worship, but it also transforms into a regulation-sized basketball court for community use.
  • Our children’s wing welcomes families on Sundays and functions as Summit Child Care Center during the week.
  • Our youth space serves as a hub for discipleship and hosts community meetings and events.

From day one, our prayer was that this building would be a tool for Gospel growth, discipleship, and community impact. Today, we’re seeing that vision come to life in real time — and we believe God is only getting started.

Building Together Capital Campaign

When SouthCoast Community Church and South Gorham Baptist Church merged in 2018, we knew we wanted to be the kind of church that was open more than just Sunday mornings — a church with doors wide open to the community, a church whose building served God’s mission every day of the week.

Through God’s provision and amazing partnerships with Moody’s Collision Center, Great Falls Construction, and Norway Savings Bank, Summit secured land and began turning that vision into reality.

God has continued to open doors in ways we could never have orchestrated — even through a global pandemic, rising construction costs, and countless hurdles. We remain humbled and grateful. We truly can’t believe we get to do this, and we’re thankful you’re walking with us as we follow God’s leading into this next chapter.
