The Mission
The Mission

Here at Summit we don’t believe the Church has a mission. We believe God’s mission has a Church! The mission of Summit Community Church is the same mission Jesus gave his followers: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Our Story
Our Story

How it all started… Summit Community Church was established on January 28th, 2018 when the members of SouthCoast Community Church and South Gorham Baptist Church voted to merge the two churches. This vote concluded a year long process of merger exploration and transition work. While two churches merging is quite unconventional, the process of these two individual churches becoming one has been a beautiful work of God.

As Summit Community Church, we are confident that we are Better Together for the sake of the Gospel!

Expanding The Vision...
Expanding The Vision...

Jesus reached out to people of all ages and backgrounds, and at Summit Community Church, we desire to do the same. Therefore, you will discover ministries that are geared toward various life stages and needs. Summit is a place for everyone to study the Bible, build community, and grow in their relationship with Jesus. God promises us that we will find Him when we seek Him with all of our heart. As you seek God and the plans that He has for you, let us know how we can help you on your spiritual journey.

Our New Home...
Our New Home...

Summit has grown rapidly since our conception. We decided that the construction of a new facility would enable us to reach our community in new and exciting ways as well as make it possible for our Summit family to be in one space worshipping together. We have eagerly watched the construction of our new building and are excited to now be holding services at 26 Cressey Road on Sundays at 10AM. We would love for you to join us!
